India has been a diverse geographic region since the inception. All Indian citizens have equal rights provided by the constitution. United States of America is a prime example how people from different regions can collaborate to create one of the greatest civilisations ever lived on Earth.
We all are Indians. Our constitution unites people, the history cannot divide this nation. Our people must work for the better future ahead.
Aryan and Dravidian debates are result of Vedic propaganda promoted by political forces. They invented “Out of India” theory where Vedic sages sent learned scholars out of India to civilized whole world, the Europe in particular.
Their greatest contribution to India is the rigid caste-system, but they don’t want credit for it. After thousand of years they are not done with ophrassion, new narratives are being propagated to revive Vedic system that teaches discrimination.
You will never find a South Indian creating nuisance in name of language, culture or religion in other regions. Tamil Sangam is our history, we never impose it on anyone, neither we have grand plans to be the teacher of the whole world. We live a simple life with reasoning.
The Pandya
According to the Vedic supremacists, All the latest technologies and innovation in healthcare, computers, medical, automobile, Aircrafts, time travel, teleportation etc are mentioned in Vedic literature. All western and eastern scientists take their inspiration from devine Vedic knowledge before embarking experiments.
Vedic supremacists often consider taking over South India, but they fail to understand that today’s Hinduism is a result of South’s Bhakti movement started in 7th century by Alvaras and Nayanars. Even in spirituality, the South outsmarts them. Adi Sankara, Madhvacharya, Rāmānuja were South Indians. So, don’t try to preach religion in South.
The Vedas are substitute for the history, society, politics, entertainment, geography, science, medicine, spirituality and everything in between. Resources for wholesome human brain development are inadequate. Yet, they think they are superior to every other being on Earth. They want to fight Europe, America, China and everyone who do not accept the supremacy of the Vedas and mythological puranas.
They want to conquer the South, but they fail to understand South India’s overwhelming economic, social and scientific contribution.
All religions have mythological beliefs and rituals, I never speak about it. I have to speak when they try to dictate other regions. There are 8 billion people, America has around 350 million, but how many counties can conquer USA?
In Sanskrit, Akhand means United. There are several theories across India referring to the origin of Bharatha. The term “Akhand Bharat” doesn’t have a long historical perspective. The Mauryans didn’t identify their kingdom with it. Further, we have to note that தமிழகம் (Tamilagam) was an independent country during the so-called Akhand Bharat period.
Mythological Reference
Several mythological scriptures attribute the name Bharath to a king in the North. If you are going to name a country in memory of a person then there must be great details about him and his contribution to Indian culture and literature, but that is not the case here. Very small details are known about King Bharat and none we can sync with the global historical records.
Historical Reference
In the South, the Bharath term refers to the ancient Tamil fisherman community “Bharathavar” or “Bharathar”. The traders often regarded the coastal region as Bharatha. Non-natives often confuse ‘pa’ and ‘ba’ in interpretation. Further details are mentioned in the Tamil Sangam.
South India was the first to connect with the world through thriving ports. South India had traded with Greeks, Egypt, Persia, Romans, and China. The Indus Valley is an extension of the ancient Dravidian civilization.
When we take a look at the history of organized religion in the subcontinent, the early roots of Jainism and Buddhism are visible around 2000 BCE. Jainism and Buddhism both represent Saman traditions of ancient India. The current political narrative of “Akhand Bharat” is mostly attributed to the rule of emperor Asoka – A Buddhist missionary king.
The Dravidians
Vedic people used the term Dravida or Mleccha for the native people in the subcontinent. In this context, the Mauryans are also Dravidians – the native Indians. It helps us to understand why there was a friendship treaty between Tamilagam / Dravida Nadu and Mauryans.
The true history can only be understood through linguistic trails. Brahmi evolved from Tamili, and the languages like Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Pali, Prakrit, Sanskrit, and regional languages evolved from Asokan Brahmi.
Asoka truly unified the subcontinent and the whole of Asia through the Dhamma chakka. Deciphering the Indus script will help us to know the older versions of Tamili.
The classification with the terms Arya and Dravida was done by the Vedic people only. It is certainly not a figment of imagination. Aryans considered themselves Noble and Pure compare to the Indian tribes.
Vedic people were one of the Avestan groups / Achaemenid empire and later formed Aryavarta in India. Vedas largely derive concepts from Avesta and Greek Spirituality as Indo-Aryans lived in Indo-Greek Kingdom too.
Asoka was a Buddhist missionary and the first to conquer the short-lived Aryavarta. Asoka’s conquest altered Vedic beliefs, and now Aryans have become idol worshippers and absorbed various tribal spirituality like mother goddess, holy rivers, mountains, village deities, ancestral worship, etc. Dravidian folk deities are Murugan, Meenatchi Amman, Pochamma, Muniyappa, Yellama, Mariamman, Ayyanar.
Once lost Aaryavarta has never been able to revive. Asoka restored the rule of Dhamma in Akhand Bharath. The current form of Hinduism is synonymous with the Vedic religion. It derives the concept of meditation from the Samana. It has many Gods and festivals from folk religions.
Vedic religion has not been able to take its people along. Treating other religions with equality is difficult. If Vedic belief became a state religion, that would divide the nation. Compared to Jainism and Buddhism, the Vedic religion is young.
Most Hindu Epics were written in the common era around the 7th century when Bhakti Movement began in the South India. Lankavatara Sutra mentions a Buddhist King of Lanka Ravanan. He adopted Buddhism instead of the Vedic religion, so he was the villain. A follower of Dhamma is now declared Adharmic barbaric ruler.
South India has been connected globally through trade relations, but Asoka built a spiritual bond with the Subcontinent and beyond. When India becomes a Buddhist-majority nation in 2050, we will have an extended version of Akhand Bharata and this time it will have Tamilagam too. India will be able to forge a large alliance with the Eastern Buddhist countries.
If having a state religion is an absolute necessity, then it should be Buddhism for India. The Vedic elites are less than 15% of india’s population; they are the minority of India. I don’t like Vedic culture, but there should not be any discriminations against those who study it. Reverse casteism would be a great disservice to our civilisation.
The Pandya
We should build an inclusive society. I have written this content to put the correct historical record. It is not against any belief system. Dravidian Folk Culture, Jainism, and Buddhism represent ancient Indian spirituality.
