India is the largest market open to the world. Therefore, it would be great if India start setting up examples through actions. Electric vehicle is not a new concept further I would say that EVs are going to be an alternative to existing ones. As we all debates on air pollution, now we need to turn this crises into an opportunity.

Electric vehicles are cost effective – why I believe so?

Think of it in the current perspective. We see that everyone is willing to adopt solar roof at home. Solar panel is an eco friendly energy production equipment and if we enable every house, then electricity will be free for all, the Petrol & Diesel are going to die down.

People will be able to charge electric vehicles at home, they don’t have to wait in a queue at charging station. However, there are significant improvements to be done from the manufacturer’s point of view.

The quality of electrical vehicles in India

As I have mentioned, this is just a beginning. Quality is important as people would want to make serious investment in the eco friendly sector. There is an awareness in society, keeping the benefits on mind young population will easily opt-in for purchase.

Electric vehicle manufacturers should try to ensure good quality – well, as good as existing petrol/diesel vehicles if not more.

Fuel efficiency

The vehicle should go for longer distance on full charge, and also energy bank should be available to charge an electric vehicle on a remote location, just like we use power bank for the mobile device.

At early stage, electric vehicle could be used for city rides later it must expand to cross longer distances. I see electric two wheelers and cars are already available in the Indian market now it’s time to have focus on the quality to increase customer base.

Most of EVs will be self powered means it would have solar roof to charge itself, and there are no harmful emissions particles.

Solar power electric vehicles are extremely cost effective, people do not need to pay for fuel. The transportation will be cheaper than what it is today. Ultimate, it will impact the market, inflation will come down sharply.

Compare to the existing vehicles drive functionality in Electric Vehicles is much easier and the data set you see on the front screen is much more han one can imagine while riding petrol/diesel.

Accuracy add on to safety, there are less chances to get involved into an accident on road.

How to bring electric vehicles on the Indian road?

I’d say better as soon as possible, the India. Government is seriously possible for electric vehicles, and efforts are visible in policy making. Slowly and steadily things are changing, but it will take some time to spread awareness on this topic. I see young people do not hesitate to adopt government initiatives to bring possible impact on the society.

Business friendly approach is one thing, but here corporates should also acknowledge that the consumer do not make blind investments. If you try to sell outdated technology to consumers, business won’t pick up. Today, the Indian consumers are willing to invest in sustainable future.

I am very hopeful on the Indian auto sector, good things are on way.
